The coolant has several important tasks in addition to its actual task - the removal of heat. It serves as frost protection, protects the engine from corrosion, prevents deposits in the cooling system and must
not attack the seals, hoses and metals.
Paraflu 11 (vehicles built up to 2001) contains silicate for corrosion protection, which degrades over time - Therefore, it must be renewed regularly (usually after 60,000 km or every 2 years).
Paraflu UP (vehicles built after 2002), on the other hand, is silicate-free and does not need to be changed regularly. The different coolants must not be mixed with each other under any circumstances.
If in doubt, please check the color of your coolant and the information in your vehicle's operating manual.
Petronas Paraflu radiator antifreeze is available as a concentrate and is usually mixed 1:1 with distilled water.
