What are the differences between VeloSwing and other swing-away modules?
Unlike many other swing-away modules, it is not only designed for carrying bicycles but is also certified as a full towbar. This means it can be used for both bike racks and for towing a trailer.
The Thule VeloSwing replaces the original towbar, whereas other systems, like the Memo Van Swing, must be added as a supplement.
A major difference is the much higher nose weight: up to 150 kg, which is higher than that of other modules or adapters. The VeloSwing is also available with an optional pre-cut bumper, integrating harmoniously into the vehicle's design.
What can be installed on the VeloSwing?
- Bike racks: The VeloSwing allows for the transport of up to 4 bikes or e-bikes.
- Storage boxes: Thanks to the high nose weight, transport boxes can also be safely installed.
- Trailers: As a full towbar, the VeloSwing allows for towing trailers up to 3,000 kg (depending on the vehicle).
