The right engine oil for your Fiat Ducato depends on the Euro emissions standard. You can find this in your vehicle registration under numbers 14 and 14.1. The oils recommended by Fiat for Diesel & GNC engines are:

When does the engine oil have to be replaced? - Intervals for all Ducato models
The maintenance interval for the Fiat Ducato is usually 45,000 km or every 2 years. Exceptions here are e.g. the 3.0 Multijet 160 DPF from 2010 - 2013 (32,000 km) and the 3.0 CNG gas engines (40,000 km). Please note that your Ducato should have an oil service earlier if it is used heavily and in a lot of city traffic.

The amount of oil can vary depending on the displacement and design. The 2.3 MultiJet usually needs between 6 and 6.5 liters and the 3.0 MultiJet usually needs 9.0 - 9.7 liters. You can find the exact information on this in your operating manual.

Fiat Ducato 250 oil changes - step by step
- Loosen the oil cap and oil dipstick
- Remove underrun protection
- Loosen the oil drain plug
- Loosen the oil filter
- Replace oil filter & seal
- Insert the oil filter & attach the oil drain plug
- Install underride protection
- Fill in engine oil - check the level in between
- Start the engine & top up oil if necessary

Reset Fiat Ducato oil change service
- Switch on the ignition (engine OFF)
- Press the accelerator pedal and keep it depressed
- Fully depress brake pedal 7 times
- Keep the accelerator pedal depressed for another 60 seconds
- Take off the gas, switch off the ignition and wait 60 seconds
- Start the engine
